Brent Doty
574 325 5133My name is Brent Doty, and I am proud to be the Athletic Director at Wawasee High School. My time as a student at Wawasee was spent playing football, basketball and baseball. After high school, I was a collegiate baseball player. I hope to bring my years of experience as both a coach and educator to my role as Athletic Director. I spent many seasons coaching baseball, working to mentor student-athletes and build strong teams. With a background in math and science education, I value the balance between academics and athletics. I have a lifelong passion for sports and a commitment to student success on and off the field. My goal as the AD is to lead our coaches and athletes to embrace the three pillars of the Wawasee Athletic Department: Community Connections, Character Development, and Competitive Performance. -

574 325 5133I am a 1996 graduate of Wawasee High School. I married a 1995 Wawasee grad, and together we have 2 boys, Evan and Jeb, who both graduated from Wawasee! This is my eighth year getting a front row seat to cheer on our Warriors as the athletic administrative assistant. I love watching our student athletes compete, grow and learn through their athletic endeavors. When I am not at work, I enjoy baking, being on the lake or hanging out with my 3 dogs, Goose, Rooster and Penny! -
Boys Basketball Head Coach
Nate O'Connell
I am a 1997 graduate of Warsaw High School and 2001 graduate of Trine University (Tri-State). I started coaching basketball at Wawasee in 2008, for head coach Phil Mishler. Since then I have also assisted Doug Ogle (Warsaw), Jon Everingham and Joe Luce. I met my wife, Mandy (a Wawasee graduate), in 2010 and we married in 2013. We now have two sons, Nolan and Bryson, who attend Wawasee schools. I am excited to lead the boys basketball program at all levels. -

Derek Gilreath
Hello. My name is Derek Gilreath and I've been coaching basketball at the High School level since the 2011-2012 school year. This year is my 4th as the Head Coach at Wawasee. I appreciate the relationships I have built with all of my former and current players. My passion for coaching is to inspire student-athletes to be people of integrity, who will lead, be responsible, and pursue excellence in all aspects of life. I have been married to my wife, Jessica, for 12 years. We have 3 children, Sophia (10), Theo (8), and Malia (5), who all attend Wawasee Schools. -
Football Head Coach
Mark Osmialowski
I am a 2014 graduate of Cloverdale High School in Cloverdale, Indiana. I attended Manchester University, where I played football for the Spartans while earning a degree in Physical Education with a minor in Coaching. I later earned my Master’s degree in Athletic Administration from Ohio University. I currently teach Physical Education and Health at Wawasee Middle School. Before that, I taught Physical Education, Health, and Prep for College and Careers at Milford School for six and a half years. I have been part of the Wawasee football coaching staff for eight years in a variety of roles, and I am excited to begin my first season as Head Coach. My wife, Taylor (Wawasee Class of 2013), and I have been married for five years. We have two daughters, Tatelynne and Makayleigh, and are expecting another baby girl in May. When I am not coaching or teaching, I enjoy turkey and deer hunting and spending time with my family. I am passionate about interscholastic athletics and the life lessons football teaches. My goal is to help create a positive and memorable experience for our players and to help them grow both on and off the field. -

I cheered at St. Joseph-Ogden High School, then continued my cheer career at Parkland College and Eastern Illinois University. I bring nearly a decade of coaching experience, focusing on stunt safety, proper technique, and pyramid skills, while fostering teamwork, school spirit, and a positive environment where athletes can grow and succeed.” -
Swimming & Diving Head Coach
Jason Scott
I have been coaching swimming since 1997. I have coached club, middle school, and high school swimming throughout the years. I have been fortunate to have coached several Club and HS state champions, USA Swimming Sectional Champions, Junior National Qualifiers and Champions, Senior National Qualifiers and Champions, and three swimmers who are Olympic Trials Qualifiers. My favorite part of coaching is watching the faces of my athletes when the achieve their dreams. The most important aspect of my teams is being a supportive family environment where everyone feels safe to fail and grow as humans! -
Boys Golf Head Coach, Girls Golf Head Coach
Randy Woodcock
My name is Randy and I am the coach of both the boys and girls golf teams at Wawasee. I have been coaching since the fall of 2024. I love golf. It is the ultimate test of sport mentally. My favorite part of coaching is building the kids confidence in their abilities on and off of the course. I want them to know that I am their biggest fan and advocate. I am a 2004 Wawasee grad and my wife Angie is a 2008 grad from Wawasee. We have 3 kids (number 4 due Aug of 2025) Robbie, Evie, Josie, and George. When I am not golfing I am blessed to have the opportunity to serve at North Webster Community Church in many areas. My faith in Christ is central to all aspects of my life. I look forward to continuing to build both golf programs for many years. -
Girls Volleyball Head Coach
Ryan Edgar
My name is Ryan Edgar. I moved to Wawasee in 1999 and began teaching at Wawasee Middle School and have been here ever since. I have been married to my wife (Jamie) for 24 years. We have 3 sons Colten (22), Caden (20), and Carter (14). I have been playing volleyball since 1994 and have been coaching since 2000. I have coached 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th grade, JV, and Varsity in my career. I also have coached wrestling, baseball, robotics, and academic superbowl. Throughout my 27 years at WMS, I have taught planetarium, science, math, robotics, STEM, and have also been the student service coordinator. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with family and friends on the lakes, playing volleyball, working with robotics, and watching students excel at their favorite sports and activities. -
Unified Flag Football Head Coach
Allen Coblentz
My name is Allen Coblentz. I am excited to get back into coaching at WHS as I take over the Unified Flag Football program. I have coached basketball at the elementary, middle school, and high school levels. I have also coached high school baseball. While not exactly a sport I've led the Wawasee Supermileage team since 1999 as we have won numerous national competitions and have twice competed internationally. I am a veteran teacher of 32 years, all at Wawasee. My wife Mindy is a Spanish teacher at Wawasee and we have three grown boys, a daughter-in-law and two grandchildren. -
Baseball Head Coach
Andrew Zaebst
I am a 2007 graduate of Hudson High School (OH) and a 2011 graduate of Ohio Northern University. I have been married to my wife Heidi for 9 years and together we have one daughter, Maggie. I am a teacher at Wawasee Middle School where I have taught ELA, Social Studies, STEM, and Preparing for College and Careers. I have coached high school baseball for 14 years (2nd as head coach). I have also coached high school and middle school football for 13 years. When I am not at work I enjoy golfing, woodworking, and spending time with my family. -
Softball Coach
Wayne McCoy
I’ve been coaching and teaching the game of softball for over 25 years. I’ve coached High School, Travel Softball and Coached at the College Level for 11 years Those 11 years included being an assistant at the University of Saint Francis, assistant at Indiana Tech and Head Coach at Wright State University ( Lake Campus ). I’ve been the Senior Softball Instructor at The Diamond Baseball and Softball in Fort Wayne IN since 2008. I’ve trained many players that have went on to play at the college level, including JUCO, NAIA, NCAA-Divisions 1,2 and 3. I’ve been a member of the NFCA where I’ve trained with some of top D-1 Coaches in the Nation while taking courses towards becoming a 4 Star Master Coach. In 2025 I was Inducted into National Softball Association Hall of Fame as a Coach… I have a passion for the game of softball and enjoy helping players reach their goals and dreams. I’m Proud to be a Coach for Wawasee !! -
Boys Cross Country Head Coach

I’ve been coaching cross country since 2020, and I’ve loved every second of it. There’s something incredibly rewarding about helping young athletes grow—not just as runners, but as people. Being able to serve the Wawasee Community by coaching the boys cross country has been amazing. I use cross country as a way to teach lessons that go beyond the sport—things like responsibility, discipline, and perseverance. My goal is to help athletes develop habits and values they can carry with them long after high school. Coaching is more than a job to me—it’s a chance to make a positive impact, and I’m grateful for every opportunity to do so. -

I am honored to serve as the Head Women’s Cross Country Coach at Wawasee High School. My journey with Wawasee Cross Country began in 7th grade, and the program has been a big part of my life ever since. A 2007 Wawasee graduate, I continued my running career at Indiana Wesleyan University, where I earned a degree in Business Management in 2011. Beyond coaching, I help lead my family’s business, which has proudly served the local community for over 60 years. I am also engaged to my fiancée, Heather, and together we are excitedly planning our wedding. Coaching at Wawasee is truly one of my greatest joys. I love guiding athletes through the process — watching them put in the hard work, celebrate their breakthroughs, and achieve great results on the course. Even more rewarding is seeing them grow into strong leaders and individuals who take the lessons from cross country and apply them to life beyond the sport. -

Stefani Wuthrich
My name is Stefani Wuthrich, and I’ve had the privilege of coaching high school girls track and field for over nine years. I began my coaching career at Jimtown High School and am now entering my fifth season with Wawasee High School.Although I didn’t grow up in the Wawasee community, my roots here run deep. My husband is a proud 2009 Wawasee graduate, and we’re now raising our four young children to be the proudest Warriors, all attending schools within the Wawasee Community School Corporation.Coaching these young athletes is a true passion of mine. There is nothing more rewarding than watching my girls grow—not only as competitors in their events, but also as confident, capable young women. Seeing them develop into an exceptional adult, both on and off the track, never gets old. -

Chase Pinion
My name is Chase Pinion, and I’ve been coaching Track and Field for 10 years. I started with three years at Penn Harris Madison, followed by four years at the college level. This is my fourth year at Wawasee High School, and I’m grateful to be part of such a great community. I’m passionate about building a strong, positive team culture and helping young men grow both mentally and physically. I take pride in keeping things upbeat and encouraging while also focusing on biomechanics and technique development. I enjoy finding ways to bring out the best in each athlete and being a positive influence in their lives. -

I graduated from Wawasee High School in 1999 and am currently in my 15th season with the Wawasee Wrestling Program, serving in my 3rd year as Head Coach. I'm blessed to share life with my beautiful wife, Cierra, and recently became a proud first-time father to our amazing son, Legend. During my time as a student-athlete, I was a state placer for the Warriors in 1999, went on to become a 3x collegiate All-American, and was honored to be inducted into the Manchester University Hall of Fame in 2019. To me, wrestling is more than just a sport — it’s a way of life. I’m honored to uphold that motto, the toughness, and the traditions passed down by the incredible coaches who came before me. I'm committed to building champions both on and off the mat! -

Miguel Rodriguez
I have been married to Nicole “Hymer” Rodriguez since 2011, and together we are proud parents of five children: Alexis (22), Ciara (20), Ethan (19), Cobie (12), and Uriah (9). My coaching journey began in 2010 with the club, where I continue to serve today. From 2014 to 2020, I was an assistant coach at Wawasee Middle School, and in 2021 I took on the role of Head Coach for the Wawasee Girls High School Wrestling Team. I also serve as an assistant coach for the High School Boys Wrestling Team. Coaching is more than a role for me—it’s a passion. I am dedicated to helping student-athletes set and achieve their goals while pushing beyond their own expectations. My mission is to support them not only on the mat, but also in the classroom, at home, and in every aspect of their lives. -
Girls Soccer Head Coach
Stephanie Hawley
Hello, my name is Stephanie Hawley. I’m a 2004 graduate of Warsaw Community High School and bring over a decade of coaching experience across various youth age groups, including 10 seasons leading the Wawasee Middle School girls' team and coaching U16–U19 girls' travel teams with Warsaw Wave. I played NCAA Division III soccer at Trine University (formerly Tri-State University) from 2004 to 2007 and have earned my US Soccer National D and C Coaching Licenses, with plans to pursue my B License. As a co-founder of the Wawasee Footy Club (futsal) and a certified referee, I’m passionate about developing players of all ages, fostering growth, and strengthening the soccer community both on and off the field. When not on the field, I enjoy camping, hiking, and kayaking with my two dogs, Moxxi and Shiner. I’m also a proud supporter of Chelsea FC. -

Jordan Sharp
Howdie! Jordan Sharp here! I have loved the game of soccer all my life. I grew up in Warsaw, Indiana and played soccer there all 4 years of high school. I graduated in 2007, and then played collegiately at Grace College for 4 years as well. I was also a member of Warsaw Wave Travel as a youngster for my club years. I married a Concord girl, Renae Sharp, and we have 2 beautiful children, Parker (Kinder) and Oaklee (Pre K). Our family loves Soccer, Pickleball, Camping and Jesus. For my coaching career I got to coach the JV soccer team at Grace college for 2 years and helped coach 1 season with the Warsaw High School girls team. Now I am in my 13th season as Wawasee Boys Varsity soccer coach and have been working hard on building the younger teams through trainings in the off season, as well as keeping the excitement through running camps every summer to build the program. We love working with the Wawasee Community through the sport of soccer to grow young men to be the best versions of themselves they can be. -
Boys Tennis Head Coach
Vince Rhodes
My name is Vince Rhodes. I was born in 1958 and have been married to my wife, Denise, for 42 wonderful years. Together, we have three children—Aubrey, Kayla, and Austin—and we’re proud grandparents to two grandchildren, Ellie and Harrison. I graduated from Wawasee High School in 1976, where I played tennis, basketball, and baseball. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of giving back to the sports I love by coaching baseball for 13 years, tennis for 12 years, and freshman basketball for 3 years. Outside of coaching, I enjoy fishing, golfing, and playing pickleball. For the past 45 years, I’ve also owned and operated my own construction and drywall business, which has been both a challenge and a blessing. -
